Three years of solid, boring hearts and then one morning a leaf unrolled with proper holes in it. Moved it a metre closer to the window in spring and apparently that was all it wanted.

Overwatered the calathea while away for a weekend and came back to a small cloud of them. Let the top of the soil dry out, put a layer of sand on top and stuck yellow cards everywhere. Winning, slowly.

Pothos and tradescantia root in plain water faster than anything I have tried with powders. The kitchen shelf now looks like a small laboratory and nobody is allowed to throw away a jam jar.
